David Furnish is a Canadian advertising executive best known for his marriage to pop superstar Elton John. In addition to co-managing the business empire of his famous spouse, Furnish is also heralded as a fashion icon in his own right.
Furnish is a regular in GQ’s annual best dressed list. He even topped the list in 2002, when he was heralded not just for the beautiful outfits he wore, but also the stylish company he keeps.
The basis of any outfit for Furnish is well cut tailoring. In an interview with Vogue he said: ‘I don't feel dressed unless I am in a suit. I find it an empowering thing to wear. Nothing makes you feel better or more presentable.’
We couldn’t agree more. Though, of course, Furnish has a delightful habit of taking the classic suit to new extremes. This makes perfect sense when you consider Furnish’s twenty five year partnership with one of the most outlandish dressers in the music industry!
We love the way Furnish plays with colour, pattern and texture to create something completely new out of a classic suit base.

Furnish is not afraid to experiment with embellishments! We love the spacey feel of this beaded dinner jacket.
At first glance this may look like a classic white dinner jacket, but the delicate texture transforms it into a real statement piece.
Sometimes all you need is colour to turn your suit into a real head-turner. Partner in colour-contrast suit optional!
This floral embroidery is the perfect contrast to the classic masculinity of a black dinner jacket. Ideal for those who don’t want to be wearing the same style as every other gentleman at the party.
