Now that we’ve hit the middle of December, the festive cheer is in full swing. If you’re tempted to add some seasonal accessories to your tailored outfits, there are some great ways to do this while still remaining stylish.
Here are our favourite festive tailoring accessories, and how to wear them.
The bow tie
We think a bow tie at Christmas is very hard to beat. Pair a bow tie with a classic suit for a more formal look, or wear one with a blazer or tweed jacket for a more casual feel.
The pocket square
Adding a pocket square to your jacket is a very simple way to make a big impact. Give it a Christmassy twist by choosing a pocket square in a predominately festive colour palette of green, red and gold.
The waistcoat
You don’t have to be a Scrooge to adopt an ‘A Christmas Carol’ look! Give a nod to the Victorian influence on modern Christmas by choosing a three piece suit for the Christmas party this year.
The socks
If you absolutely must add Christmas garments to your look… we think your socks are the best place to do it! Whether you go for a full out novelty print, or whether you choose a more low key flash of red or green, this can be a subtle way to give a nod to the season.
The sweater
We’ve shared advice before on how to wear knitwear with a suit. Good quality knitwear in a festive tone can be a very festive tailoring accessory. As an added bonus, it will also keep you warm!
