Style Inspiration from Ryan Reynolds

Style inspiration sometimes comes from somewhat unexpected sources. We’re well used to looking to oscar winners, James Bond films and costume dramas for tailoring inspiration, but what about an actor who is best known for his roles in rom-coms and comic book adaptations?

Step up Ryan Reynolds. The star of films such as The Proposal, Definitely Maybe, Blade: Trinity and Deadpool really knows how to work a suit.

Earlier this year, GQ named Reynolds as one of their 13 Most Stylish Men in the World Right Now, and it’s not hard to see why. In amongst a wardrobe of excellent tailored pieces, this is one actor who really understands how to bring personality into his look without bringing the tone down.

The way Reynolds does this is by focusing in on the details. His suits themselves are always impeccably smart and classic, but the quirky choices he makes with accessories makes him stand out from the crowd on the red carpet.

Let’s start by taking a look at Reynolds’ jewelled tie pin. He’s often pictured it formal events wearing this particular tie pin, and we certainly approve of his choice. This sophisticated accessory adds an additional element to his look, and the subtle gem shows that this is a piece well-loved by its wearer, not just added by a stylist.

Ryan Reynolds is certainly a gentlemen who is confident with accessories. He often makes bold choices with shirts, which is a great way to add something a bit unexpected to an otherwise-classic look. Whether it’s mixing rich colours, pairing a suit with knitwear or even wearing a denim shirt under a tux, Reynolds clearly isn’t afraid to experiment.

Need further proof that Reynolds is a style inspiration to take note of? He certainly knows how to choose a classic overcoat… and he even looks cool in a novelty print tie
