Welcome to wedding season. We don’t know about you, but we can really get behind the idea of a good wedding. Not only is it a wonderful opportunity to come together with friends and loved ones, we also enjoy the chance to go all out, sartorially speaking.
If you have a summer wedding or two on your calendar, you’ll want to know how to dress to make an impact.
The great news here is that more and more gentlemen are choosing to stray from the traditional and experiment with their tailoring.
Want to have a go yourself?
Explore pattern and colour
The obvious way to stand out in a sea of suits is to choose tailoring in an unexpected colour or pattern. Pastel tones work brilliantly for summer weddings, as do bolder prints… if you’re brave enough!
Consider texture
Texture can be a great way to bring something a bit special to your suit withoutopting for something bold. Though tweeds are ideal for this, you may want to choose a lighter fabric once the temperatures soar.
Choose a three piece suit
There’s something undeniably dapper about a three piece suit. Many gentlemen now wear two piece suits for weddings; but who says you have to follow the crowd?
Channel your inner 007
This advice wouldn’t be complete without a suggestion to channel your inner 007 and rock a white or cream suit! If you’ve been considering this look for a while but haven’t been sure about pulling the trigger; a summer wedding is the ideal time to give it a go.
