Bespoke Tailoring for the Younger Man

There is no age limit on bespoke tailoring. The way we see it: you’re never too young to start investing in your wardrobe. Still, it’s fair to say that there’s a perception that tailored suits are a luxury only available for the middle aged.

Below we’ve shared four reasons why we believe you’re never too young to benefit from expert tailoring.

1. It’s the only way to get a suit that truly fits you

Some people are lucky enough to fit comfortably into the standard sizes offered by high street stores. Many of us aren’t. If you’re in the latter category, you may find that no amount of alterations will make an off-the-peg suit properly flatter your figure. A bespoke or made-to-measure suit will be cut to your exact shape: meaning you’ll never look like you’ve borrowed your older brother’s dinner jacket.

2. It’ll help you dress for the job you want

There’s a lot of truth to the old advice that it pays to dress for the job you want, not the one you currently have.  A bespoke suit can be an excellent way to show the management team that you’re serious about career progression.

3. You’ll get more value for your money in the long run

Inexpensive off-the-peg suits often seem like a great price. The problem is that they typically don’t last very long. In order to keep the price low, high street retailers have to use lower quality fabrics that don’t stand up to repeated wear and dry cleaning visits. If you’re in the market for a workhorse suit to wear to the office week after week, a bespoke option may just give you a better price per wear.

4. It will give you a style advantage

Have you ever leafed through GQ or Esquire and wished you looked as sharp in a suit as their models? Here’s what we’re trying to tell you: you can. The reason celebrities and models look so much better in their tailoring than the average Joe at the office is because they have a team of tailors on their side.
